Audubon Zoo’s Community Connection Series | 11 a.m. | Facebook | Free
The zoo is connecting the community to a different animal each week on Facebook Live. This week is all about the sea lions. Tune in at 11 a.m. to learn all about them!

Film Fest: Warrior Women with Lucy Lawless | 8 p.m. | Zoom | Free
Each Friday evening through June 19, the Joan of Arc Project (the group that puts on the Joan of Arc parade on Twelfth Night) is hosting a Zoom discussion group about a different Joan of Arc-focused film. This week you’re invited to a discussion about the Discovery Channel’s Joan of Arc feature episode. You can watch it here, then join the discussion on Friday with the Zoom link, above.

Every week Snug Harbor hosts a tribute show to the recently departed New Orleans music legend, Ellis Marsalis, Jr. Swing by their Facebook page at approximately 8 p.m. and they’ll post the link to the show.

James Corbyn is a ghost hunter, Voodoo practitioner, historian, storyteller and collector of haunted artifacts. Each Friday he hosts a Facebook Live about another haunted topic. Last week featured Ken Gerhard, a cryptozoologist featured countless times on History Channel and National Geographic shows. Let’s see what’s in store for this week. Like a gumbo pot, health and wellness company Footprints To Fitness created their master Fitness Fusion class to provide something for everyone… a true fusion of kickass workout with a whole lot of New Orleans culture. How old is your home? Who previously owned it? How was it changed over time? What secrets does it hold? This information is out there for us to discover, we just need to know where to look. Robert J. Cangelosi Jr., an adjunct lecturer at the Tulane University School of Architecture will teach us how to answer those questions in this 2.5-hour seminar by the Friends of the Cabildo. This weekend would have been the 47th annual New Orleans Greek Festival — a Memorial Day weekend tradition. Since that won’t be possible, WWOZ is inviting you to party along with them for two hours, opa! Cousin Dimitri will be playing a mix of traditional and contemporary Greek music. On social media, they’ll be sharing pictures from past Greek Fests, interesting historical facts and recipes to your favorite Greek Festival food and pastries! Debbie Davis and Josh Paxton have a regular gig live from Bywater Bakery every Sunday morning. They’re playing for those standing in line for their beignets, benedicts, cakes, pastries, crawfish bread and so much more — but they’re also playing in line for those of us at home. This orchestra’s goal is to get you back in touch with the Sleaze inside jazz. They’re all great musicians and the show definitely has some cabaret elements to it.
