Stream Alec Baldwin’s Trial for ‘Rust’ Movie Shooting on Very Local

Actor Alec Baldwin is on trial for involuntary manslaughter in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie “Rust,” which was being filmed in Santa Fe in October 2021. 

The shooting happened at Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe County. Baldwin entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of involuntary manslaughter. Hannah Guitierz-Reed, the armorist for the movie, has been tried and convicted of involuntary manslaughter. She has been sentenced to 18 months in prison. 

The Jury will receive instructions on Tuesday, July 9, and the trial will begin on Wednesday, July 10. Live trial coverage from Albuquerque news station KOAT is available on the Very Local app
