Our Lancaster, Pennsylvania station, WGAL, created the Project CommUNITY Juvenile Lifers: The Long Road to Redemption special. The program is about men and women who were sentenced to life in prison as juveniles. Some of them are now free after court rulings that deemed their original sentences too harsh.

WGAL News 8’s Matt Barcaro looks into what’s being done to help these former convicts re-enter society, what their victims’ families think about their second chance and what it’s like to be on the road to redemption.
