A few months ago, we all had weekly routines, that were so routine, we didn’t think much about pre-ordering and how to tip. Some things are slowly going back to normal, but it is a new normal and there are a lot of changes to the same old routine.
Most big businesses already had online ordering apps, but COVID-19 has required small businesses to make some big changes. So we thought it might be a good idea to check in and take a look at the best way to order from some of the local businesses in Pittsburgh.
First up, The Coffee Tree Roasters.
The Coffee Tree adds online ordering
The Coffee Tree has locations all around the city:
- Squirrel Hill
- Shadyside
- Fox Chapel
- Mt. Lebanon
- Pleasant Hills
You can now place an order for any drink at any location from The Coffee Tree website. In addition to beverages, you can order food and snacks.
Online ordering for The Coffee Tree
We used The Coffee Tree website to place an order and the experience is quick and easy to use. You can even tell them how much cream to put in your coffee in the notes section.
Note: there is no way to leave a tip when you order online. When you go to pick up your coffee, bring a mask and a dollar or two for the tip jar.
A new look for this neighborhood coffee shop
In addition to online ordering, The Coffee Tree Roasters has rolled out a new logo.
