In New Orleans, we don’t have to work for the weekend. (But with festivals centered around fried chicken and beignets, maybe we do have to work out a little harder because of our weekends.) We always have a lot of something going on all across the city, and it can be hard to wade through it all and know whether an event is worth your time or money. Don’t worry, that’s what your Very Local team is here for. We got you covered.

The best way to describe Too Trill Trivia is trivia featuring what organizers call “intelli-ratchet” questions. Because we all got some ratchet in us. This week’s edition will have “dating twist” as it is the start of Cuffing Season. (Are y’all ready?) The night is also a celebration of local comedian Geneva Joy’s upcoming board game, Cuffing Season. *Come a little early to find parking since the Saints will be playing.

Free Screening of Hocus Pocus
Before we all put on our costumes and run amok (amok, amok, amok), we must watch this classic Halloween flick. Winnie put a spell on all of us when we were kids, and now it just doesn’t feel quite like Halloween until we’ve watched Hocus Pocus. Well, go check it out for free with your squad at our city’s only cidery, Broad Street Cider & Ale. If you’re going to recite the lines out loud with strangers of one of the best damn Halloween movies of all time, shouldn’t you do it while sipping on cider? After the screening, head BACK to Broad Street for a little Hocus Pocus trivia on Friday!
When: Thursday, Oct. 11 at 7:30-10:30 p.m.
Where: Broad Street Cider & Ale, 2723 S. Broad St.
