Pittsburgh Ice Cream Sandwich Day Celebration
August 2 is the annual ice cream sandwich day in the US of A. We knew exactly who to call to help us celebrate – the ice cream sandwich experts at Leona’s Ice Cream Sandwiches.

Ice Cream Trivia
Answer some ice cream trivia to win prizes, help us make a collaborative painting, and grab some limited-edition flavors before they sell out.
A VERY Pittsburgh flavored Ice Cream Sandwich from Leona’s
We love Leona’s, so way back in February we asked them to develop a Very Local ice cream sandwich, using Pittsburgh as their inspiration. After some rigorous research and recipe testing, we are ready to unveil their take on an iconic flavor: STRAWBERRY PRETZEL SALAD! These limited-edition ice cream sandwiches will only be available for the party. Reserve your tickets for only $5!

The premier of the Perry Berry Ice Cream Sandwich
We’re also premiering the PERRY BERRY – a collaboration with local artist C. B. Perry, the first ice cream sandwich in Leona’s new artist series.
And more surprises to come!
Don’t know Leona’s? Yinz need to meet.
The highly popular local ice cream purveyor got their start in 2013, selling ice cream sandwiches from a small cart at local festivals and events. The business continued to grow, and six years later the small-batch, lactose-free ice cream enterprise offers pints, special collaboration flavors, and can even be found in some Giant Eagle Supermarkets.
