The 15th Annual Keg Ride: A mystery bike ride for a good cause

Take a little bike ride around town with a few hundred fellow beer lovers for a good cause.

by Lindsay Patross | April 22, 2019

A few years ago, End End Brewing decided that the best way to get the first keg of Pedal Pale Ale to the bar was by bike. And thus the Keg Ride was born. And each year a few more people decided to come along for the ride. The keg ride is now a fundraiser for a local charity.

The ride starts at the brewery in Larimer and the route is a mystery. Cyclists will pull a few kegs of East End Brewing’s Pedal Pale Ale to an undisclosed location. The ride is slow and family friendly. The group will ride in the streets but, with such a large crowd, this ride is suitable for beginner cyclists.

The cost to participate in the ride is $25. You get to join the group ride, a fresh beer at the destination and a Keg Ride glass.

East End Brewing’s slogan is “buy a good friend a good beer.” The brewery takes this one step further by donating the proceeds from the Keg Ride to a nonprofit.

This year, the Keg Ride is a benefit for the Auberle Foster Care Foundation.

If you are interested in learning more about becoming a foster parent, East End Brewing will be hosting an information session on May 14, 2019. Learn more about the information session and read some foster care FAQ here.
