New Orleans is hopping when it comes to the craft brewing scene. All these local breweries are vying for your attention and they are throwing in movies to give you just another reason to drop in throughout the summer. Across the city, breweries are opening their doors and pulling down the screen for outdoor screenings of films, giving people a chill spot on hot summer’s evening.
And because everyone enjoy movies and brews (brewvies), here are four places to kick up your feet, and throw back a beer on a weeknight.
- Wayward Owl Brewing Company

You can get cozy on the couches and even some theater chairs behind the benches as you take in a fun classic. A local pop-up provides the food during the brewvie events here.
- Second Line Brewing

The once-monthly movie night at Second Line Brewing now happens each week. Their Wednesday Night Movie takes place all through July and the first week of August. You’ll get a healthy dose of laughs to pair with your beer here. The outdoor seating means a pup can join in on your fun, too.

This brewery has some of the most delicious food in town. It ain’t just basic bar food here, so be ready to enjoy an awesome meal while filling up on nostalgia during one of their screenings of our favorite older blockbusters. - Broad Street Cider & Ale

Here, you’ll catch fan favorite ’80s films, classics, science fiction and more. Pack your festival chairs or a thick blanket. Seating goes quickly. A pop-up food joint is usually around, but it’s cool to bring your own snacks if you want.
