A summer storm put on an incredible show for people throughout the city last night. Residents of Lakeview, Mid-City and Hollygrove all marveled at the seemingly continuous stream of lightning flashes from a late evening storm.
The phenomenon, commonly referred to as “heat lightning,” wowed plenty of locals throughout the evening. Occasional arcs could be seen lashing out from the clouds but the bolts and flashes largely remained contained. Check out a few of the city’s best shots of the awe-inspiring event.
