Brace yourselves, summer is coming. Yes, the heat index is between OMG and WTF already and we’re all sweating, dying from the blazing, bursting UV rays of the sun. So before the night king bids farewell to winter and we feel Drogo’s fire breath of June and July, here are some things to cool your mind and body in the chillest of ways.
Never Drink the Same Beer Twice
New Orleans is a city that likes its craft beer. There are at least 29 different beer places in town where you can get craft beer, but Brieux Carre in the Marigny offers a totally different brew experience almost daily. Owner Robert Bostick talked to us about his bubbling business.
Laid-back Laissez Fare
We know, usually you go to the Marigny at night, but there’s still plenty to do during the day here. We’ll admit it’s a little quieter when the sun is up, but there’s still plenty to do. The Marigny is easy to walk and the laid-back vibe makes it simple to strike up conversations with people in the neighborhood. Here’s where to make sure you go in the Marigny.
Looking at the Present & Past in One Glance
By day, Steve Burmester works in construction, but by night, he’s putting together images of buildings from hundreds of years ago in the form of original digital artwork. His Instagram page showcases images of New Orleans, carefully blended together showing a glimpse of the past and present in one glance. (Brought to you by Urban South Brewery)
